Thuraya recently launched their new SatSleeve+ and SatSleeve Hotspot devices into the market with immense success. Both new SatSleeve models transform your smart phone into a satellite phone, providing users with on-the-go satellite communications in one compact portable device.
The Thuraya SatSleeve+ and the SatSleeve Hotspot both route voice through a connected smartphone, allowing users to speak directly into the handset, whether it be docked or undocked from the SatSleeve. Other features include calls and text messages in satellite mode, emails and other data such a social media or instant messaging through the use of apps, as well as the enhanced safety of a programmable SOS button to alert a predefined number in an emergency.
The SatSleeve+ comes with a universal adaptor, allowing various iPhone and Android smart phones to be connected, while the SatSleeve Hotspot provides a Wi-Fi connection and a stand, so the device can sit anywhere.
Thuraya has just announced that with their SatSleeve+/Hotspot app V1.1 which is available on Google Play, even more Android smartphones and devices are now compatible with both models. The extended range on compatible Androids include Samsung, Huawei, Sony Xperia, Google Nexus, Motorola Moto, LG, Lenovo and Asus.
