5th June 2015
Following the announcement from Cobham Satcom that the EXPLORER 300 and EXPLORER 500 BGAN land terminals will be discontinued, Satcom Global wanted to inform our valued customers that no further orders will be taken from 30th June 2015 and the final delivery date for terminals is 25th September 2015.
These reliable and popular terminals have seen success in the market for over a decade, with the EXPLORER 500 so prevalent it is still unmatched in terms of BGAN quantities out in the field today. These portable land terminals are extensively used by many government and aid organisations, as well as media and field personnel, providing them with global voice and data communications in isolated and remote locations.
Superseding the EXPLORER 300 and 500, Cobham have recently unveiled the EXPLORER 510, which is the smallest BGAN terminal on the market, offering professionals the perfect balance between performance, portability and price. The unique new compact design and focus on wireless connectivity, ensures the EXPLORER 510 BGAN terminal is set to be a game changer for those requiring reliable and easy to use satellite communications when operating in the field.
As the EXPLORER 300 and 500 satellite terminals are in limited stock, they will be available on a first-come first-served basis, so please contact your Satcom Global Account Manager to secure one today, or email us at oceania@satcomglobal.com
