Iridium LRIT or Long Range Identification and Tracking, is a maritime application for use on the global Iridium SBD service which provides efficient and reliable vessel tracking, monitoring and reporting through high-quality and low-latency satellite communications.  LRIT is now a compulsory IMO requirement for all vessels on international voyages that gross 300 tonnes or more.
